What we offer
Busy Holidays & Cosy stays
( and camping )
Arrive as visitors, leave as friends !
Relax and unwind in the solitude that Valley View Farm enjoys, and awake slowly to the sound of birds chirping and soft winds rustling the trees, with the smells of fresh bread and coffee for breakfast, to help you plan the day around the kitchen table; for there is much to do around here.
This is what indulges our visitors who stay with us, at our home which, it must be said, is a project in progress, always with much to do and improve, and sustainability being much to the fore, as it matters to us; we aim for zero landfill, by reusing recycling or composting everything we can.
The overwhelming consensus is that furtive escapes off the beaten track into true English countryside, for walks with dogs in a spring shower, or exploring the lanes cloaked in hoar frost, or reading on the terrace on warm summer days, in our easy-going unpretentious family home, beats that of the unavailing hotel, or self-catering pod where Mum still wears the apron.
However, our caveat is that works of some nature are often underway at Valley View Farm, which may not be for you personally.
Pies & More
Hectic evenings, no time for grocery queues, not eating as well as you would like ?
Then fill your fridge or freezer with delicious, pre-portioned dishes, delivered under the priority of freshness, to be eaten directly or frozen as desired.
Weβre here to provide you with a simple, convenient, top-notch, farm-to-table experience that you would expect in deep farming countryside, where home cooking abounds with the great good fortune of wonderful produce all around us.
As a family of foodies, we are also steeped in the world of food with half the family running their own series of restaurants in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the other half having one the countryβs most popular cookery schools in London, we are fully in-tune with most dietary needs and regularly cater for such, so are only too willing to provide if we can.
Our food is good, fresh and made by hand, although we can not guarantee everything is allergen-free.
However, at Valley View Farm As a guest staying for a short break, you may well wish to avail yourself of this service. If so, we would ask for good notice please, and some indicative preferences along with numbers to serve, by sending us an email. In return you will receive some menu suggestions with pricing, for which we can take your order, which we will have ready on the day of your departure.
Farm Workshops
Commencing in the summer of 2024
How does the idea of an entertaining break with hands-on educational activities grab you ?
If you're looking for must-do, must-learn, must-make, you've come to the right place. Cooking, paint-effects, gardening, painting, pottery, decoupage, woodwork, turning and metalwork, to name but a few.
We are in the process of turning one of our barns into a multifunctional workshop wherein specialist teachers of a specific discipline will be joining us to impart their skills and knowledge to the small group who book for the exciting live-in experience.
Workshops in essence will involve a two, or in some cases a three day programme, including all materials, an induction, a teaching agenda, assisting and supervising, and perhaps even testing, along with a reception dinner, followed with full board and lodging, a drink on one evening at the pub, and taking away the proud and hard won creations.
Keep an eye out on the Valley View Farm Calendar for the variety of workshop packages that will be posted in the spring, and pick the art you fancy becoming the next supremo in.
